Murray Maracle – Education Director

Murray is from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and has been with the UOI/AEI since 2006. His position entails responsibility for the over-all administration, direction, and alignment of all areas of education and training. This includes responsibility for the daily operations of the AEI and the general education issues within the UOI Communities.

Bridget Taylor - Administrative Assistant

Bridget is a member of the Curve Lake First Nation and has been with the UOI/AEI since 2006. As part of her role with the UOI education, she is responsible for front office duties for the Health and Education Secretariats, as well as the AEI by assisting with and planning conferences in all areas. Her position also includes administrative duties as required by the Education Director.


Autumn Watson - Health Retention & Support Officer (Partnership with Health)

Autumn is a member of Curve Lake First Nation and has been with the UOI/AEI since 2007. As part of her role with the UOI education, her responsibilities are to work closely with the communities on increasing awareness of Health Careers under the Aboriginal Health Human Resource Initiative. She also promotes AEI’s post secondary opportunities throughout Anishinabek Territory.


Mindy Taylor – Human Health Resources Officer

Mindy is a member from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and has been with the UOI/AEI since 2008. As part of her role with the UOI education, she is responsible for bringing new ideas on Health Programming to AEI as well as developing new Health Programs for AEI.


Jennifer Fletcher – Organizational Resource Analyst

Jennifer is a member of the Moose Cree First Nation and has been with the AEI since 1997. Her position entails responsibilities for the development and maintenance of a multi-year business plan, resource management, and organizational development of the AEI.

 
Fort William Site

Ron Fisher – Acting Site Coordinator

Ron is a member of the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve and has been with the AEI since 2006. He is responsible for the day to day administration and alignment of on-campus and community-based post-secondary and certificate program delivery. He is committed to creating and maintaining a learning environment that is comfortable, supportive, and based on the values of sharing, caring, and respect

 
Donna Mullen – Distance Delivery Programs Assistant

Donna is a member of the Fort William First Nation and has been with the AEI since 2001. Her position entails responsibilities such as assisting with the program administrative duties of the site and performing a variety of program administrative and reporting services, including: public relations; marketing/ recruitment and student intake, in support of the day-to-day operation of the AEI and its services to the students.

 
Munsee-Delaware Site

Rita Chiblow – Site Coordinator

Rita is a member of the Mississauga First Nation and has been with the AEI since March 2010. She is responsible for the day to day administration and alignment of on-campus and community-based post-secondary and certificate program delivery and is committed to creating and maintaining a learning environment that is comfortable, supportive, and based on the values of sharing, caring, and respect.

 
Frank Cooper – Programs Office Support Assistant

Frank is a member of the Munsee-Delaware First Nation and has been with the AEI since 2006. He is responsible to assist with the program administrative and reporting services of the site including: public relations; marketing/recruitment and student intake; support of the day-to-day operation of the site and its services to the students.

 
Sue Ireland – Registrar Services Coordinator

Sue is a member of the Oneida First Nation and has been with the AEI since 1999. She is responsible for maintaining a smooth working relationship between the AEI and partner institutions. She is also responsible for maintaining communication and liaises with student sponsoring agencies and assist students with alternate funding sources when necessary.


Barb TabobandungOffice Support

Barb is a member of the Wasauksing First Nation and started her position as Office Assistant February 2011.  Her position provides clerical and administrative support to AEI program staff, and clerical assistance for students required for the effective operation of the AEI site. 
 

Nipissing Site
 
Jane Commanda – Site Coordinator

Jane is a member of Nipissing First Nation and has been with the AEI since August 2010. Her position as the Site Coordinator is to ensure the responsibility for the day to day administration and alignment of on-campus and community-based post-secondary and certificate program delivery and is committed to creating and maintaining a learning environment that is comfortable, supportive, and based on the values of sharing, caring, and respect

Patti Fox - Curriculum Development

Patti is a member of the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve and has been with the AEI since 1996.

Jan McLeod – Registrar Services Coordinator

Jan is a member of the Nipissing First Nation and has been with the AEI since 2008. Her position is responsible for assisting with the program administration and reporting services of the site including: public relations; marketing/recruitment and student intake; support of the day-to-day operation of the site and its services to the students.


Debbie Beaucage – Student Services Counsellor

Debbie is a member of the Whitefish Lake First Nation and has been with the AEI since 2007. Her position as the SSC is a team leader who provides support and counselling services to students in areas relating to student success and student retention. She is also responsible for the fostering and building of the student’s confidence, independence, and networking ability as well as awareness of learning styles.

Michelle Brisson – Education Development Officer - Health

Michelle is from Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, and has been with the AEI since September 2010. Her position as the TFPO is a front-line service position that provides tutorial support to students and she is also responsible for implementing field practicum courses. This involves being available to the student as a resource person, tutor, and motivator.
